Decorate Your Tree with Your Team Colors
Baseball, Football or Basketball, There’s Christmas Ornaments for You!
Something that I’ve noticed more and more people doing is adding an ornament or two on their tree to celebrate their favorite team which is great when you all support the same one, but when the house is divided……… well it can certainly be interesting!
Whatever team you support you can celebrate them at the holidays with as many ornaments as you like – the whole tree, a special table top tree just for your team or a few special ornaments on the family tree (if you buy one every year they’ll soon overpower the other ornaments!) Even if you don’t have specific team ornaments you can always use team colors Christmas ornaments on your tree to get your point across! There are certainly enough different colored Christmas ornaments to make this possible.
So Who’s Your Team?
Let’s look to baseball first and check out all of the Major League Baseball teams and what Christmas Ornaments they have to offer and to show no biased I’m going to go in alphabetical order –
There are a few different types of Baseball Christmas ornaments that you can get like an ornament of an actual baseball or a bat or a mitt with ball, but if you want to celebrate your favorite team then here’s some great ornaments you can use to decorate an absolutely FANtastic Christmas tree. If you need more ornaments to fill it out then just add plain ball ornaments in your team colors.

If you prefer basketball to baseball then you’ll love this selection of Christmas tree ornaments from Boston to Utah, Chicago to Miami people are loving this game. There’s just something about watching basketball live that gets the blood pumping – it’s a sport I’d rather watch from the stands than from my lounge room.
Again I’ll list the teams alphabetically so you can be sure I’m not showing any bias!! I hope you enjoy hanging a few of your favorite basketball team’s Christmas ornaments on your tree this year (and the next, and the next…)
Here’s some links so you can go straight to your team, bypassing all the others! Whichever team you support the holiday season has never been a better time to hang your team colors somewhere prominent and I don’t know about your house, but our tree is probably the first thing people notice when they walk into my home over the holiday season. Whether you support the Dallas Cowboys or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers there’s a great selection of ornaments from all the teams that you can adorn your tree with, failing that you can always get plain colored baubles…………that just happen to be only in your teams colors!
So as not to upset anyone I’ve again gone for an alphabetical listing of teams so skip down to your favorite, just a word of advice if you have a divided household get another tree as a tree that’s decked with two different team colors on it just doesn’t look right (this is advice from a divided footy household by the way!)
Here’s the shortcut links for you – Arizona Cardinals | Atlanta Falcons | Baltimore Ravens | Buffalo Bills | Carolina Panthers | Chicago Bears | Cincinnati Bengals | Cleveland Browns | Dallas Cowboys | Denver Broncos | Detroit Lions | Green Bay Packers | Houston Texans | Indianapolis Colts | Jacksonville Jaguars | Kansas City Chiefs | Miami Dolphins | Minnesota Vikings | New England Patriots | New Orleans Saints | New York Giants | New York Jets | Philadelphia Eagles | Pittsburgh Steelers | San Diego Chargers | San Francisco 49ers | Seattle Seahawks | St Louis Rams | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Tennessee Titans | Washington Redskins
Decorate your tree in Cardinal Red, black and white to show off your love of the Arizona Cardinals. As Cardinal Red is such a festive color you shouldn’t have too many problems convincing non-footy fans to add one of these ornaments or two on the tree……should you?
Deck your tree out in red, black, white and silver and then add a few of these cool ornaments and you’ll be able to silently (or not very silently depending on if other members of your household have realized that you have a Falcon’s team tree in your home) cheer ‘Go Falcons’ every time you see your family Christmas tree!
I love purple so I do think the Ravens’ colors make a great way to deck out your entire home for the holidays! Purple, black, gold and white will certainly make your tree stand out from the crowd!
I’ve included a few Christmas ornaments below for you to choose from, but if you really love the Ravens then you might be interested in this article to go all out during the holiday season – A Baltimore Ravens Christmas Tree.
A Buffalo Bills fan? Then decorate your tree in true Buffalo Bill style this year!
If black, blue, silver and white mean anything to you then it could mean you’re part of the Panthers fan club in which case you’ll love these Christmas ornaments. I particularly love the Carolina Panthers Art Glass Ornament as it showcases the team colors and logo really, really well.
I grew up in the UK pretty unaware of American Football until 1986 when the Chicago Bears and the Refrigerator hit the news, everyone was talking up the Bears and I even got a jersey …… didn’t know much about the game, but my antenna was twitching then!!!
These ornaments are pretty cool ones to add to a Bears tree, but there are certainly lots more to choose from, in fact I even made a blog post about them – Chicago Bears Christmas Ornaments, celebrate the holidays in navy, orange and white this year!
A black, orange and white NFL tree means that the Cincinnati Bengals are in the house!
Now if you’re a Cincinnati Bengals fan then I think you should seriously consider having a black Christmas tree – add a few of the orange Bengals ornaments and you have a tree that you can put up for Halloween and leave up for the Christmas season too.
Of course all of these Cincinnati Bengal ornaments would look great on a number of different color Christmas trees so if you’re going with traditional green or modern white that’s fine.
The Dallas Cowboys certainly have a lot of fans and they also have a lot of Christmas ornaments available so if you’re a Cowboys fan you might want to check out this page – Dallas Cowboys Christmas Ornaments and decorate your tree in style.
Navy, orange and white on your tree? A Broncos fan perchance?
If you’re a mighty Lions fan then decorate your tree with blue and silver and add one or two of the following ornaments for a gorgeous finishing touch.
Now I have a friend who calls herself the Jaguars’ number one friend and I just know that a Jacksonville Jaguars Christmas tree ornament would make a perfect gift for her, unfortunately it’s finding one that she doesn’t already have! I hope I’ve found a few here that you’re missing 🙂
Whenever I see the Saints playing I always think of my father-in-law, not that he was a Saints fan – he preferred watching Rugby Union – but his favorite song was ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’.
If you aren’t satisfied with these delightful ornaments below I am including a very useful link right here – How to Create a New Orleans Saints Christmas Tree – enjoy!

With a sister-in-law from Seattle we had a Seattle Seahawks Christmas last year when her mother and step father came to stay and brought all kinds of Seahawks goodies, although they didn’t manage to deck the tree out completely in ornaments, but if you’re a fan you could try with some of these cool ornaments.
