The first think I put on my tree when decorating is the lights, a number of years ago I came across some Baltimore Ravens Christmas lights but I haven’t been able to source them for some time so I recommend (especially if you have a black tree) using some purple Christmas lights. These are quite easy to source as they are used a lot at Halloween.

Another option is stringing up some football Christmas lights.

Of course if your Christmas tree is a pre-lit one then you can skip this step.

One of my favourite parts of a themed Christmas tree is all of the themed ornaments to bring it together and there are lots of Baltimore Ravens Christmas ornaments out there with more being released each year. As well as these ornaments you can mix in a few other ideas to create your perfect tree like these:

• Ravens logo ornaments: Showcase the iconic bird emblem throughout your tree – you can use florist wire to hold any ornaments you have onto your tree – you can also get some Ravens Mardi Gras beads to decorate the tree
• Mini football ornaments: There are plenty of football ornaments to choose from that aren’t team affiliated.
• DIY jersey ornaments: Cut jersey shapes from cardstock, paint them purple and add favorite player numbers (this is a perfect craft if you have little fans that want to help as well)
• Fan memorabilia: Repurpose Ravens keychains, trading cards or pins as tree decorations.

Ribbons, Garlands and Tree Toppers

 Instead of traditional garland, think creatively:

• Use wide purple or gold ribbon cascading down the tree
• Try a beaded black or purple garland (or see if you can get some Ravens Mardi Gras beads)
• If you have a bigger tree you could even look at hanging Ravens pennant string from your tree – just wrap it around like you would tinsel.

For the tree topper you can get football tree toppers or purple star tree toppers which would look great. Alternatively, you could use something team focused like a Ravens cap/Santa hat, a helmet or even a plush raven.

Don’t forget the base of your tree! A Baltimore Ravens themed Christmas tree skirt would be ideal, although you could also choose a football themed skirt or a purple or black faux fur tree skirt.

If you are using a living tree then grab some Ravens gift wrap and decorate the pot that it is in!
