Disney Christmas ornaments have become quite a collectible type of ornament over the years and many people cover their Christmas trees with the magic of Disney.

There’s something magical about including Mickey and Minnie Mouse on your Christmas tree or one of the beautiful Disney Princesses, even Tinkerbell makes a gorgeous Christmas fairy.

If you have children in the house they may love some of the newer Disney stars like Phineas and Ferb or Hannah Montana, if you’re thinking of your childhood then you might be thinking of Goofy or Bambi or even Pinochio.   One things for sure by adding a Disney ornament on your Christmas tree you’re adding a touch of nostalgia and here’s a couple for you to enjoy now –

Victorian Christmas Ornaments

When we think of Vintage Christmases we are usually transported back to the Vicotian Era which I think is why our feels of nostalgia towards a simpler life are sometimes converted to a yearning for Victorian Christmas Ornaments to hang on our tree.

There’s just something about Victorian Christmas ornaments that can really evoke the holiday spirits when you’re sat around your Christmas tree.   Whether it’s the use of  homemade Victorian Christmas ornaments that gives you a cosy feeling about Christmas or whether it’s the elegance and feelings of affluence that comes from some of the ornate Victorian Christmas ornaments in their gemstone colors with tassels or amazing beaded Victorian Christmas ornaments.

Then again sometimes it’s just nice to have what we think of as Victorian inspired Christmas ornaments on our trees like these beautiful Victorian Angels –

The collection (which can also be viewed on the website above) includes shoes that have a jolly Snowman as a heel, shoes which have gifts as heels, shoes which have Christmas baubles as heels and many others. The one I’ve got here has a very festive Candy Cane as a heel – I almost wish these were real shoes, could you imagine slipping on a pair to get into the holiday spirit?

Owl Christmas Ornaments

Selection of owl Christmas ornamentsI love owls, I always think of them as wise old birds which is probably why I think owl Christmas ornaments look great on a Christmas tree.   My favorite looking owl would have to be the Snowy owl although I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these in the wild.

The owl I used to see regularly when I was growing up was the Barn owl although where I live now I very rarely see owls …….. except for owl ornaments that is.   My mother collects owls so whenever I visit her there are always lots of owl ornaments to look at!

Here are a few owl Christmas ornaments to whet your appetite…….

Rustic Owl Ornaments

I do love the owl ornaments that have a realistic look to them and there are a range to choose from, these are some of my favorite made from items such as feathers, sisal, burlap and pine cones they really are rustic in style
